Finland’s first floating office building is for sale. The approximately 900 sqm building, completed in 2013, has served as Arctia concern's headquarters, but the entity could be suitable, for example, for hotel, restaurant, apartment or PR use as well.
The floating building is currently located in Katajanokka, Helsinki. However, this easily movable two storey entity can be moved to almost any part of Finland or to nearby countries.
The floating office building is a masterpiece of Finnish building and shipbuilding. The entity has been assembled indoors in a shipyard hall, from where it has been floated in place in Helsinki. The quality of construction of the building is top notch.
The part built on top of the pontoons currently has office spaces. In addition, storage space and building technology have been placed on the ground floor. The building is connected to municipal engineering and district heating.
