Customer story: Facilities were found for Evidensia's new animal hospital in Kuopio

Evidensia opens a new 24/7 animal hospital in Kuopio. Business premises of over 900 square meters were found with the help of LogisTila.
Evidensia is Finland's largest network of veterinary clinics and 24/7 hospitals, which offers animals a wide range of services in 50 locations, from basic health care to special treatments. In January next year, Evidensia will expand its operations and open a new office in Kuopio's Savilahti.
– Kuopio and its surrounding municipalities are such a large economic area that we saw that it makes sense to invest and build a full-scale animal hospital in Kuopio, so that the customers and pets in the area receive hospital-level service, says Jukka Toivanen, CEO of Evidensia Eläinlääkäripalvelut Ltd..
The animal hospital named Savon Murre will be a 24/7 on-call hospital, of which Evidensia will have ten in Finland by the end of the year.
– The hospital is open every day of the year, which means services are always available there. There is also a wide range of specialists working there and different technology available, so we are able to diagnose patients even better, says Toivanen.
Suitable spaces were found with an active approach
An office space of over 900 square meters is being renovated for the use of the animal hospital, which is located in a good location in the Savilahti business district next to Prisma. Timo Puustinen, LogisTila's North Savo area manager, helped in the search for space.
– I called several operators in the area and asked a little about what kind of facilities are available. Timo then took a very active approach to this issue and presented different options. In the case of this place, we quickly came to the decision that this is the right place for us, Toivanen states with satisfaction.
– When Osuuskauppa Peeässä's space became available on the market, we were quickly negotiating this space with Evidensia. The negotiations progressed in a few days to the stage that soon Evidensia's management and partners came from Helsinki to inspect the site, says Timo Puustinen.
A so-called tripartite meeting was held with Peeässa and Evidensia at the destination, and then it became clear that Peeässa's will was very clear and positive for the project.
– Things went smoothly with Evidensia's management and the happy ending was true. The lease was ready, Puustinen continues.
Evidensia complements the business area's service offering
Toivanen feels that the new premises have many strengths that will help Evidensia succeed in Kuopio.
– The space is of such a size that we can build a hospital with a comprehensive service offering. Transportation connections are good and there are many parking spaces for customers in the area. There are also a lot of people visiting the area thanks to other companies, so visibility is also really good for us, says Toivanen.
Osuuskauppa Peeäs is very satisfied with its new tenant.
– The area is one of the most important trading places in Kuopio and Evidensia brings a good addition to the whole. I think their services will serve existing customer base well. For example, they have Musti ja Mirri as neighbors, with whom they will certainly get synergy benefits, says Osuuskauppa Peeässa's technical property manager Reijo Jäntti.
